Our business is built on helping Customers create thoughtful gifting experiences — not on monetizing personal information.

The information we collect allows us to operate, maintain, improve, and secure the Velvet Sage Gifts Platform. Depending on how you use the Platform, your information may be used to:

• create and manage Customer accounts;
• maintain Subscription services;
• organize Recipient information;

Recipient information always remains under the control of the Customer who created the Recipient profile.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that Recipient information is accurate, current, and lawfully provided.

Velvet Sage Gifts does not independently contact Recipients for marketing purposes using information stored within the Recipient Database unless expressly requested or authorized by the Customer, or where the Recipient has independently provided consent.

8. Subscriptions & Business Accounts

Subscription services and Business Accounts are designed to simplify ongoing personal and corporate gifting. Information associated with these services may be used to:

• manage Subscription billing;
• maintain Recipient lists;
• administer employee or client gifting programs;
• automate recurring reminders;
• coordinate scheduled gifting;
• generate reports and account summaries;
• provide concierge assistance;
• improve account management tools; and
• deliver Subscription features selected by the Customer.

Business Customers remain responsible for ensuring that Recipient information provided to the Platform has been collected and used in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

9. Gift Concierge & Personalized Recommendations

The Gift Concierge is intended to simplify gift selection by helping Customers discover meaningful and appropriate gift ideas. Recommendations may be generated using information such as:

• Customer preferences;
• Recipient preferences;
• previous purchases;
• browsing activity within the Platform;
• seasonal collections;
• curated gift collections;
• Recipient profile information;
• intelligent database matching;
• automation;
• AI-assisted recommendation technologies; and
• other Platform features designed to improve the gifting experience.

Recommendations are generated to assist Customers and improve the quality of the Platform. Customers remain responsible for reviewing and selecting all gifts before purchase.

10. Artificial Intelligence & Automated Processing

Certain Platform features may utilize artificial intelligence, automation, machine learning, intelligent search, database technologies, and similar systems to improve the services provided by Velvet Sage Gifts. These technologies may assist with:

• gift recommendations;
• Recipient organization;
• reminder scheduling;
• product discovery;
• personalized messaging;
• search functionality;
• Subscription management;
• customer support; and
• future Platform enhancements.

These technologies are designed to support — not replace — Customer decision-making.

Velvet Sage Gifts does not use AI Technologies to make legally binding decisions about Customers or Recipients without appropriate human oversight where required by applicable law.

Automated systems are continually evaluated to improve accuracy, usefulness, security, and customer experience while respecting applicable privacy rights.

11. How We Do Not Use Information

Respecting Customer and Recipient privacy is fundamental to how Velvet Sage Gifts operates. Accordingly:

• We do not sell Personal Information.
• We do not rent Personal Information.
• We do not trade Personal Information.
• We do not create advertising profiles based on Recipient information.
• We do not permit third parties to market directly to your Recipients using information stored within the Platform.
• We do not use Customer or Recipient information for purposes unrelated to providing the Platform except where required by law or with appropriate consent.

Our goal is to use Personal Information only to provide secure, thoughtful, and reliable gifting services while protecting the trust placed in us by our Customers.

12. Payment Information

Protecting financial information is a fundamental part of operating the Velvet Sage Gifts Platform.

Velvet Sage Gifts does not collect, store, or process payment card numbers, card security codes, or other sensitive payment credentials on its own website, internal databases, or Platform infrastructure.

Velvet Sage Gifts will process Recipient information only as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform and related services, except where otherwise required by law.

21. Children's Privacy

The Velvet Sage Gifts Platform is intended for use by adults and businesses.
